DK bounced back from mouz's game one victory with a fast start. Venomancer controlled the mid lane and drew first blood. He was aided by longdd's Prophet teleporting in and picking off the Dire courier, preventing Templar Assassin (TA) from bottle crowing. The early game was relatively slow going with not too many kills and besides a trade of off lane towers at 5 minutes not much early tower pressure. Tinker and Dragon Knight were both left to get relatively free farm throughout the early game.

At around 10 minutes, Prophet rotated into the jungle and farmed up a Hand of Midas. Between Venomancer's strong mid-lane, Prophet's Midas, and Burning being Burning (seriously, this guy belongs in an  agricultural museum with his epic farming), DK had a gold and experience advantage throughout the game. The first team fight occurred at mouz's bottom tier two tower at the 13 minute mark. Mouz was able to repulse DK and win the fight 4 to 2, largely due to Wisp using his ult to jump in with an Epicenter channeling Sand King. However DK continued to strategically group and push down towers and by 24 minutes was up 5 towers killed to 1.

Despite being down towers, farm, and kills, mouz was able to stay in the game. Lone Druid picked up his radiance around the 24 minute mark, Templar Assassin farmed up a Blink Dagger and mouz took Roshan at 26 minutes. SingSing on the Wisp and Sand King spent most of the game tethered and teleport ganking but this was largely ineffective throughout the game. In particular at 26 minutes, Wisp and TA were caught out by DK--with TA losing the Aegis and dieing--and DK turned this into destroying the tier 3 bot tower and bot barracks before losing the team fight 4 to 1.

This continued to be the theme of the game. DK pressing its advantage and slowly chipping away at mouz, while mouz responded well in the team fights. The game was close until the 51 minute mark. Mouz went for and took their third Roshan grabbing the Aegis and Cheese. However just as Rosh was about to die DK entered with an amazing team fight. Burning--complete with BKB, Heart, and Mjolnir--dealt major damage in Dragon form, ZippO placed a great Serpent Ward, and Venomance dropped his ult and used his Pipe and Mech to great effect. Burning barely survived with 50 HP. DK took the fight 4 to 1 and converted this into mid barracks, rotated top and forced the gg.

Notes:
  • ZippO picked up a Blink Dagger on the Shadow Shaman and was the main initiator for DK
  • Bamboe bought back at least 3 times on the TA
  • Black accidentally paused the game just when SingSing was about to get ganked and died. During the pause there was some humorous banter as SingSing pleaded to be allowed to live. Despite promising to provide weed to DK at The International in exchange for being allowed to live, DK was hard and killed Sing after the pause
  • I forgot to take a screenshot of the final score and will try to include that in subsequent match recaps
